Eerste inventarisatie van contraterrorismebeleid

Abstract

This report presents a first inventory of measures aimed at combating radicalisation, extremism and terrorism (referred to as counterterrorism policy) in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Researchers in these countries have drawn up working documents. This inventory can serve as a point of departure for the registration of policy developments and to obtain insight into their effectiveness. Dit rapport bevat een overzicht van beleid, beleidsmaatregelen (waaronder wet- en regelgeving) en de effecten van beleidsmaatregelen met betrekking tot de aanpak van terrorisme in de Europese Unie en de VS. Voor dit onderzoek is samengewerkt met onderzoekers in Duitsland, Frankrijk, Spanje, Italië en de Verenigde Staten. Er is, uitsluitend op basis van open bronnen, een inventarisatie van maatregelen gemaakt op een negental beleidsterreinen. Hieraan vooraf gaat een beknopte schets van de ontwikkeling van het contraterrorismebeleid en eerdere ervaringen met terrorisme in de onderzochte landen.
