    Samenvatting
    Forensische zorg (FZ) is de aanduiding voor geestelijke gezondheidszorg, verslavingszorg en verstandelijke gehandicaptenzorg in een strafrechtelijk kader. Het primaire doel van de FZ is het risico op strafrechtelijke recidive van daders met een psychische stoornis te verminderen. Het onderzoek is gericht op de volgende vragen: 1 Hoe zien FZ-trajecten eruit in termen van typen FZ en afschaling dan wel opschaling van FZ? 2 Recidive tijdens FZ-trajecten: a Wat is de totale omvang en de aard van de recidive tijdens FZ-trajecten? b Welk percentage van de ontvangers van FZ recidiveert tijdens het FZ-traject? c Hoe hangt recidive tijdens FZ samen met demografische kenmerken, het strafrechtelijk verleden en kenmerken van de FZ? 3 Recidive tijdens verschillende typen FZ: a Welk percentage van de ontvangers van een bepaald type FZ recidiveert tijdens dat type FZ? b Welke achtergrondkenmerken (demografisch, strafrechtelijk, FZ-gerelateerd) hangen samen met recidive tijdens de verschillende typen FZ?

    Reoffending during forensic care trajectories in the Netherlands, 2013-2017 (full text only available in Dutch)
    Summary
    The term forensic care (FC) refers to court mandated mental health care, drug rehabilitation and care for people with intellectual disabilities, under criminal law. The primary purpose of FC is the prevention of reoffending by offenders with mental health disorders. The present study is directed at the following questions: 1 How do FC-trajectories20 look like in terms of the typen of FC and patterns of downscaling and upscaling of restrictiveness? 2 Reoffending during FC-trajectories a What is the total amount and the type of crimes during FC-trajectories? b Which percentage of recipients of FC commit crimes during their FCtrajectories? c Which characteristics of the individuals (demographic and criminal) and the FC are associated with reoffending during FC-trajectories? 3 Reoffending during the various typen of FC a Which percentage of recipients of FC commits a crime during a particular type of FC? b Which characteristics of the individuals (demographic and criminal) and the FC are associated with reoffending during the various typen of FC?
