Kijk op jeugdcriminaliteit

Abstract

The study at hand has centred around three research questions. These questions deal with the theoretical knowledge of and the approach to juvenile delinquency, as well as with indicators that may help produce a picture of at-risk and criminal youth (groups). It concerns the following three research questions: 1a. What are recent and significant insights in the literature regarding at-risk and criminal youth (groups)? 1b. What regional approaches to at-risk and criminal youth (groups) are there? 2. What available, theoretically substantiated and measurable indicators offer relative, quantitative information with regard to: the nature and scope of juvenile delinquency in the Netherlands; the nature, volume, qualification and geographical distribution of problematic youth groups in the Netherlands; the approaches to at-risk and criminal youth (groups) and the results/effects thereof?

In dit rapport worden de resultaten van een onderzoek beschreven dat uitmondt in een voorstel om te komen tot een trendrapportage jeugd- en jongerencriminaliteit. Het voorstel bestaat uit drie onderdelen. Allereerst wordt een overzicht gegeven van beschikbare en noodzakelijke indicatoren die een beeld geven van risicofactoren voor jeugdcriminaliteit, de aard en omvang van jeugdcriminaliteit en de wijze waarop de (justitiële) afhandeling plaatsvindt. Daarnaast wordt een voorstel gedaan voor het interpreteren van de indicatoren door een groep onafhankelijke deskundigen. Tot slot wordt een werkwijze geschetst om aanpakken en interventies te inventariseren en presenteren. INHOUD: 1. Achtergrond van en aanleiding voor het onderzoek 2. Onderzoeksmethoden 3.
