Abstract

The central question of this study is: Which considerations are involved for the public prosecutor when demanding, and for the judges when imposing, the additional penalty of expulsion from a profession or removal from office? With regard to whom and in which situation is this penalty actually imposed? Does this penalty attain its goal?

De centrale vraagstelling van het onderzoek was: Welke overwegingen spelen een rol voor het OM bij het eisen en voor de rechter bij het opleggen van de bijkomende straf van ontzetting uit het beroep of ambt, bij wie en in welke situaties wordt deze straf opgelegd en bereikt deze zijn doel?
