Telecommunicatiefraude in Nederland

Abstract

More insight is required into the nature and magnitude of telecommunications fraud in the Netherlands. Information is needed on the characterization of telecom fraud victims and perpetrators, the effecitiveness of the fraud fighting chain and the extent to which the current set of legal instruments are sufficient.

Dit onderzoek is toegezegd aan de Tweede Kamer in reactie op het verschijnen van het Nationaal Dreigingsbeeld (NDB). In het NDB is aangegeven dat er nog onvoldoende gegevens beschikbaar zijn om aan te kunnen geven of telecomfraude een dreiging voor Nederland is of niet. Om telecomfraude in een vroeg stadium aan te kunnen pakken is het noodzakelijk dat inzicht wordt verkregen in de aard en omvang van dit probleem. Van dit rapport is alleen de samenvatting beschikbaar.
