Europeesrechtelijke grenzen aan inburgeringsverplichtingen

Abstract

For the purpose of the drafting of the new legislation in respect of civic integration (Civic Integration Abroad Act [Wet inburgering in het buitenland] and Civic Integration in the Netherlands Act [Wet inburgering in Nederland]), the study assesses the extent to which European law sets restrictions with regard to the imposition by the Netherlands of requirements in relation to civic integration on issuance of a residence permit and an obligation of civic integration on recent immigrants and settled immigrants born outside of the EU or the EEA.

Ten behoeve van de totstandkoming van de nieuwe inburgeringswetgeving (Wet inburgering in het buitenland en Wet inburgering in Nederland) wordt in het onderzoek beoordeeld in hoeverre het Europese recht grenzen stelt aan het door Nederland opleggen van inburgeringseisen bij toelating en een inburgeringsplicht aan nieuwkomers en oudkomers die buiten de EU, dan wel de EER zijn geboren.
