dc.description.abstractThis is the first (interim) report in the WODC study into the role of the Public Prosecutor and the examining judge in the French and Dutch pre-trial investigation phase. Set up as a comparative law survey, it is based on a literature survey, completed with research into the practice of investigation by means of interviews and observations. The report comprises two parts: 1) an introduction into French law; and 2) a study into steering and monitoring the police in France and the Netherlands.
dc.description.abstractDit is de eerste (tussen)rapportage in het WODC-onderzoek naar de rol van de officier van justitie en de rechter-commissaris in het Franse en Nederlandse vooronderzoek in strafzaken. Het onderzoek is rechtsvergelijkend van aard. De basis wordt gevormd door literatuuronderzoek; deze wordt aangevuld met onderzoek in de opsporingspraktijk, door middel van interviews en observatie. Dit rapport bestaat uit twee delen: 1) een inleiding in het Franse recht; 2) onderzoek naar de sturing en controle van de politie in Frankrijk en Nederland. INHOUD: 1. Inleiding 2.
