Abstract
In the Netherlands 23 Regional Platforms Crime Control (RPC) are active. RPCs are collaborations of public and private parties, inclucing among others small and large entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce, the police and the local government. Het Nationaal Platform Criminaliteitsbeheersing is een publiek-private samenwerking die tot doel heeft om die vormen van criminaliteit aan te pakken waarvan het bedrijfsleven slachtoffer wordt. De stijging van een aantal criminaliteitsproblemen waarmee specifieke bedrijfstakken geconfronteerd werden, bijvoorbeeld het aantal overvallen op banken, gaf aanleiding in 1992 tot de oprichting van het Nationaal Platform Criminaliteitsbeheersing. In dit evaluatieonderzoek wordt gekeken naar de output en meerwaarde van de regionale platforms criminaliteitsbeheersing inzake samenwerking, verbetervoorstellen, et cetera.
